The picturesque Port Geographe Canals have been set aglow for the past four weeks with a dazzling display of Christmas lights, marking a historic year for the 2023 Port Geographe Canals Christmas Lights Competiton.
With a record-breaking number of homes participating, including a record number of first-time entries, the competition became a radiant spectacle, illuminating the waterways, and transforming the region into the Christmas lights destination of Western Australia’s p.
Residents enthusiastically embraced the call to light up the canal façade of their homes, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of lights that now adorns Port Geographe.
The 2023 competition not only showcased the creativity and festive spirit of the community but thanks to Aigle Royal Group, also offered substantial cash prizes to the deserving winners.
The generous cash prizes include $5,000 for the first prize, $2,000 for the best new entrant and eight $1,000 participation prizes. These enticing rewards fuelled the enthusiasm of participants, encouraging them to go above and beyond in creating enchanting displays that captivated both residents and visitors alike.
Moreover, the co-sponsors ensured that the community enjoyed the holiday season with Christmas lights cruises, fostering a sense of unity and joy among residents and visitors in Western Australia’s Southwest.
The generous support from the co-sponsors of the 2023 Port Geographe Christmas Lights Cruise played a significant role in enhancing the community experience.
Generous co-sponsors for the event included Newport Geographe, Altair Estate, WIN Network, Busselton Dunsborough Mail, City of Busselton, Port Geographe Marina, and Dale Alcock Homes Southwest.
Adding to the festivities, Altair Estate winery, one of the newest co-sponsors, further extended their support by offering additional Christmas lights cruises.
